I decided to start Scripted Agency for a few reasons, but the primary objective is to represent a high level of thought and nuance to those who take the time to read. Most blogs are either shallow or pretentious. I’m aiming for a higher value – distilling a lifetime of analysis into an easy to digest, quick read that will leave you with new insight and answers in a world full of questions . If you’re here, congrats. Together, we’re going to explore a lot of how the world actually works.
About Me
While I don’t discount emotion, logic dominates my thought. I never stop thinking – about everything. I can’t remember a period of my life when I wasn’t contemplating how the world works, and why people do what they do; and I’ve never lacked in thirst for the answers. I’ve learned to see the world as a series of complex patterns with a high degree of relativity. I regularly find the same, or similar patterns in completely different forums of life, and attempt to logically apply my findings in these patterns comprehensively; testing for fitment of principles and theories in every faction possible. This often results in me seeing things that others don’t, and I aspire to share my knowledge with people who are interested.
In Myers-Briggs personality tests, I’m a resounding INTP: “the logician”. You can read about this personality type, and identify your own at https://www.16personalities.com/intp-personality .
In tests identifying “the big 5” personality traits, I score near the top for openness to experience, and in the bottom 1% for agreeableness. All of this points out my nature to be very open to any and all possible explanations and ideas, but extremely unlikely to believe something just on the basis of being told it is so. You won’t find a lot of unvetted thought here, or blind echoes of common narratives – expect substance rooted in real analysis and thoughtful scrutiny.
The goal of this blog isn’t to write a complete representation of my thoughts, or anything approaching one; that would be far too long and wouldn’t read well. My intent, rather, is to find better ways to represent my views in a more relatable context.
I intend to leave readers with greater openness to perspectives – perspectives they may not have previously considered. While I don’t expect everyone to universally agree with me, I can promise this: everyone willing to learn will take something away from my blogs. I believe we all have access to the truth within us, so if I am successful in demonstrating my views, you might leave feeling like, in some way, you’ve always known what you just read at Scripted Agency.
